  Danville Public Works and its employees are completely unhelpful. I bought a house where the previous owner left over 80 cans of paint or stain. I called Public Works for proper disposal and was instructed to mix cat litter in every can, allow it to dry then sit the cans with their tops off by my trash can. I did so and the garbage man would not get out of his truck to pick up the cans,. I called Public Works and then a representative came by my house viewed the cans and refused to pick them up as well. When I called back, Public Works could not then tell me how to dispose of the 80 cans though I followed their every instruction. The best suggestion was I carry them to First Piedmont myself and pay an extra disposal fee. Really? The city wants everyone to be conscious of the environment, but they are unable to provide its citizens the proper instructions or facilities to dispose of items. The city needs to improve utilities all around.

  Dark city street so parking / sparking going on also becoming public rest room at night. Also dump site with trash and old tires a constant. Have asked to have street light to be put on street but to no avail. Street runs beside my home so i see this happen on Rudder Road all the time. At present time there is a stack of 10 old tires sitting in the road which I called the city and reported the tires being dumped in road a week ago but still there. Also have had theft to occur from Rudder Tractor because of dark road behind their business. Just install lights which usually keeps law breakers at bay.
